Sovereign of the Seas Ship Model
The Sovereign of the Seas, also known as Man of War was built by King Charles
I at East Boston, Massachusetts in 1637. At the time, the Sovereign of the Seas
was the largest and the most powerful ship. This ship model is built to scale
based on the original plans. The ship model was specially designed by joining
multiple small pieces of yellow and black woods together onto the hull. The hull
is built from cherry wood and is painted as the original. The deck is designed, by
highly skilled craftsmen, as an exact replica of the original. When shipping, the
model is placed into a wooden frame which is then placed into a rigid carton
box. It is then doubled. Dimensions: 37(long) x 35(tall) x 12(wide) inches.
